Paul Onuachu has officially been confirmed as the tallest player at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. The Super Eagles striker, who stands at an imposing 2.01 metres (6 ft 7 in), caught widespread attention following Nigeria’s 3–1 victory over Uganda, a match in which he also got on the scoresheet.

The post triggered hundreds of reactions, with fans marveling at the striker’s physical presence.

Many comments compared Onuachu with Nigeria’s deputy captain Victor Osimhen. Softfootball confirms that while Osimhen stands at 1.85 metres, Onuachu towers above at 2.01 metres, making him one of the tallest players ever to feature at the Africa Cup of Nations.
