Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has been named England Men’s Player of the Year for the 2023/24 season following a public vote, according to BBC Sport.

Softfootball gathered that Palmer finished ahead of Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka, who came second and third respectively. The award caps an outstanding year for the 22-year-old, who made his senior England debut in November 2023 and featured prominently during Euro 2024, scoring in the final against Spain.

The recognition comes just weeks after Palmer was named the PFA Young Player of the Year following an exceptional debut campaign with Chelsea.

After joining the Blues from Manchester City last summer, Palmer scored 27 goals across all competitions and quickly established himself as one of the Premier League’s brightest talents. He has also netted twice for England and is expected to play a key role in the Three Lions’ upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against Greece and Finland.
