Victor Osimhen delivered another outstanding attacking display with two goals, but Galatasaray were forced to share the spoils in an entertaining 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa on Sunday.

The Nigerian striker gave the league leaders an early advantage after calmly converting a penalty in the 12th minute. Softfootball understands the hosts battled back repeatedly to deny Okan Buruk’s side all three points in a thrilling Istanbul derby.

Osimhen added his second goal of the afternoon with 19 minutes remaining, restoring Galatasaray’s lead after another lively performance in front of goal.

The Super Eagles forward has now registered 16 league goals and four assists in just 20 appearances this season. He has also found the net six times in the UEFA Europa League, highlighting his importance across all competitions.

Despite dropping points, Galatasaray remain at the summit of the Turkish Super Lig with 65 points from 25 matches. Buruk’s men will now shift their attention to their next league assignment away to Alanyaspor as they continue their push for another domestic title.

Osimhen’s consistent scoring form remains one of the biggest positives for the reigning champions as the title race enters its decisive stage.
