Osimhen Comments Ignite Juventus Transfer Speculation

3 Min Read

Victor Osimhen has once again set the transfer rumour mill spinning after describing Juventus as “one of the most important clubs in the world,” adding that playing for the Italian giants would be a “privilege.”

The comments, reported by Fabrizo romano via their X handle, immediately caught fire across Europe especially with Juve reportedly lining up an €80 million bid to tempt him back to Serie A.

Romano posted;

Victor Osimhen: “Juventus is one of the most important clubs, rich in history and a ton of legends have played for this team”. “Playing here would be a privilege. I’m happy at Gala but you never know in future. 90% of footballers in the world would want to play for Juve”.

But for now, Osimhen’s reality is firmly in Istanbul. The Nigerian striker only made his record-breaking permanent move to Galatasaray last summer, with the Turkish giants paying €75 million to Napoli the biggest transfer fee in Turkish football history. He signed a four-year deal until 2029 and arrived to a hero’s welcome, greeted by thousands of fans at Atatürk Airport.

Crucially, his contract includes an “anti-Italy” clause that blocks any move to Serie A until 2027 unless an enormous penalty fee is paid.

That alone makes a Juventus switch extremely complicated in the short term, even with Juve sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli the man who brought Osimhen to Napoli reportedly keen on a reunion.

On the pitch, Osimhen has been nothing short of sensational for Galatasaray. He’s been the driving force behind their domestic and European push this season, recently tormenting Juventus themselves in a 5–2 Champions League playoff win.

Across all competitions in 2025/26, he’s already racked up 19 goals and 7 assists in 29 appearances, underlining why Europe’s elite can’t stop watching him.

Softfootball and other outlets have fueled the debate about whether Osimhen has already outgrown the Süper Lig, but Galatasaray remain calm. He is their talisman, their record signing, and the face of a new era.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis also remains a key figure in any future negotiation involving Italian clubs, making a Juventus return even more politically tricky.

For now, the message is clear: Juventus may admire from afar, but Osimhen is still very much Galatasaray’s king and the most valuable, highest-paid player in Turkish football history.
