Super Eagles quartet Maduka Okoye, Alex Iwobi, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Frank Onyeka have revealed the Nigeria Premier Football League clubs they would like to play for if they ever get the chance.
Softfootball understands that the discussion comes after Ahmed Musa and former Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi returned to Kano Pillars, one of the biggest clubs in Nigerian football.
Musa enjoyed a perfect return to the NPFL, scoring both goals as Kano Pillars defeated Sunshine Stars 2-0 at home in Game Week 5.

It is Musa’s third spell with Kano Pillars, having previously played for the club during the 2009/10 season and again in 2021.
Abdullahi also has history with Kano Pillars, having played for the club before leaving in July 2014 for Kuwait Premier League side Qadsia SC.

Following the return of Musa and Abdullahi, Okoye, Iwobi, Dele-Bashiru and Onyeka shared their preferred NPFL clubs in a video posted by Football Temple on X.
Okoye picked Enugu Rangers, explaining that the club is connected to his family roots and would be his only choice if he ever decided to play in the Nigerian league.

Iwobi chose Kano Pillars and said he would like to join Musa at the club.
Dele-Bashiru also selected Kano Pillars, saying it is the NPFL club he knows the most.

Onyeka, meanwhile, picked Enyimba, describing the club as a strong team from his state and a side he would be open to representing.
Several former Super Eagles players have returned to the Nigerian league in the past to continue or end their careers.
Notable names include the late Rashidi Yekini, Okechukwu Uche and Mobi Oparaku, who all had spells with Nigerian clubs after playing abroad.
