Ex‑Super Eagles striker Peter Odemwingie has urged Victor Osimhen to remain calm and humble, reacting to the Nigerian forward being at the centre of another heated altercation during Galatasaray’s 2–1 defeat to Villarreal.

This was Odemwingie’s statement:

I don’t support this kind of behaviour because my first feeling was, ‘Not again.’ I’ve seen it quite a bit, and it’s happening more often than it should. Defenders are scared of him and will try to upset him and get under his skin. He needs to deal with that and remain humble.

If you ask Victor why he reacted that way, he might tell you that the player said something to him, but he has to learn how to handle these situations better.

Softfootball understands the former Nigerian international believes Osimhen must avoid being drawn into unnecessary battles on the pitch and instead focus on letting his football do the talking.
