Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has pledged to support the continued growth of young talent Ethan Nwaneri, praising the 17-year-old’s progress at the club so far this season.
Nwaneri has already scored three goals in Arsenal’s run to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, while also netting his first Premier League goal last month against Nottingham Forest.

Softfootball gathers that Odegaard discussed his role in guiding the youngster during an interview with the club’s official website.
He said:
I have been trying to help him in many different ways. I think for a young player, sometimes it is just to help him to be himself and feel natural, and don’t be like too much on him.
Odegaard went on to praise the confidence and maturity Nwaneri has shown despite his young age. He added:
I think everyone can see the qualities he has and for him it is just about showing that and enjoying and keep improving all the time. He is doing amazing.
