The breakthrough came in the 23rd minute when Alexander Isak found the back of the net with a clinical finish, giving Newcastle an early advantage. Just three minutes later, Chelsea suffered another blow as Axel Disasi inadvertently turned the ball into his own net, doubling the home side’s lead and effectively sealing the game.

Despite enjoying 69% possession and registering 12 shots compared to Newcastle’s six, Chelsea struggled to convert their dominance into goals.
