Nottingham Forest are stepping up efforts to sign Bologna winger Dan Ndoye, as the race for his signature enters a crucial phase. Although Napoli have also shown strong interest, reports suggest Forest may now be edging ahead.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Forest are preparing a fresh bid after their initial offer was turned down by the Italian club.

Softfootball understands that the Premier League side are believed to have already reached personal terms with the 24-year-old Swiss international, who is open to a move to England.f
Romano revealed via his official account on X:
“Understand Nottingham Forest will bid again for Dan Ndoye with new proposal ready. Bologna rejected first bid as they want to keep Ndoye but #NFFC ready to push again from next week.
“Ndoye has agreed terms with Forest 10 days ago: he wants the move.”

Despite Forest’s determination, Napoli haven’t given up just yet. The Serie A side reportedly discussed Ndoye during a transfer meeting in Ischia involving manager Antonio Conte, president Aurelio De Laurentiis, and sporting director Giovanni Manna.
Napoli are said to have offered €35 million plus €5 million in bonuses for the winger, but Bologna rejected the proposal, just as they did with Forest’s earlier bid. Bologna’s strategy appears to be focused on maximising profit, as they look to ignite a bidding war.
While Ndoye is still considering a contract extension at Bologna, the Premier League seems to be his preferred destination.
Ndoye’s interest in the Premier League suits the plans of Nottingham Forest, as they are trying to bring in a winger with quality following the departure of Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United for €55 million and with Danilo also leaving to Botafogo and turning a profit of €25 million, the Reds have enough in their coffers to place a second bid.
With both clubs now weighing their next move, the coming days could prove decisive in where Ndoye lands before the new season begins.
