Football is a bit robotic these days as Coaches prefer players to work within the systems they create rather than show off individual skills and be creative on the ball and that has removed the excitement in football and made it boring, according to Chelsea legend, John Terry.
Softfootball can report that the former England international is dissatisfied with the current state of elite football and feels it’s too dependent on tactics.

In a chat with talkSPORT Terry slammed the current state of the game and lamented the possession-based tactics of dominant teams like Manchester City, which in turn incentivise lesser teams to sit deep in response. He said:
“I don’t sit there and enjoy watching football anymore. The guys who started Baller League, the guy called Felix he’s got backers from Germany and across the world, they were fed up of seeing tactical games.
“Like where teams play against Man City and you get 11 men behind the ball, it’s boring. Man City try and break the other team down, it’s really boring. You don’t see many shots you don’t see people like Eden Hazard or Joe Cole getting people off their seats.”
Softfootball had reported earlier what John Terry thinks is the reason behind the struggles of Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca to get the best out of the team. The Blue are currently in the Club World Cup final and will face PSG on Sunday.

Terry is widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders of his generation and is known for his leadership qualities, defensive prowess, and long and successful career with Chelsea and the England national team. He is also a coach, having served as assistant head coach at Aston Villa and currently working with Chelsea’s academy.
His remarkable career at the London side saw him score a total of 67 goals for Chelsea in his career, with 67 goals for Chelsea in 717 appearances as a defender. Terry finished his career at Aston Villa where he scored 1 goal for the club in the Premier League.
