Milan Škriniar Seals Permanent Move to Fenerbahçe from PSG

Fenerbahçe have completed the signing of Milan Škriniar on a permanent deal from Paris Saint-Germain, bringing back the Slovakian defender after a solid loan spell. The 30-year-old is expected to arrive in Istanbul tonight for his medical and final paperwork, with the club set to announce the move shortly after.

Softfootball understands that the transfer deal is worth an initial €7 million, with performance-related add-ons potentially raising the total to €10 million.

Škriniar has reportedly agreed to a four-year contract with the Turkish giants, putting an end to a summer-long pursuit after Jose Mourinho insisted on having the player on his team.

Renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal on his official X account, writing:

“Milan Škriniar to Fenerbahçe, here we go! Deal in place for the centre back to re-join Fener. Permanent deal for €7m initial fee plus add-ons to PSG, reaching €10m package.

“Škriniar only wanted Fener and he’s now flying to Istanbul.”

Škriniar originally joined PSG in 2023 but struggled for consistent minutes. His loan switch to Fenerbahçe in 2024 proved successful, as he found form and quickly became a fan favourite, prompting the club to push for a full transfer.

Sources close to the negotiations say Fenerbahçe had been in talks for weeks, eventually offering an annual salary of around €8 million. Škriniar’s camp had initially requested €12 million, but both parties managed to find common ground.

The defender’s departure also helps PSG trim their wage bill, with Škriniar earning over €1.1 million monthly during his time in Paris. According to reports from Turkey, the Slovak international will land in Istanbul at 7:45 p.m. local time and could be greeted by fans at the airport before heading for his medical.

With the Škriniar deal nearly finalized, Fenerbahçe are expected to intensify efforts to sign Marco Asensio, another PSG player considered surplus to requirements. Meanwhile, PSG continue their talks with Bournemouth over Ukrainian centre-back Illya Zabarnyi, who could come in as a replacement.
