Micky van de Ven proud to captain Tottenham and score his first UCL goal

Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven says he is proud to captain Tottenham Hotspur and delighted with his first UEFA Champions League goal.

Softfootball can report that Spurs played a 2-2 draw against Norwegian minnows Bodo/Glimt in the Match-day 2 of the biggest European club football competition.

However, Tottenham captain of the day Micky van de Ven reduced the deficit with a powerful headed to make it 2-1. The Dutchman was captain because team captain Christian Romero was injured and didn’t travel for the match.

After heavy pressure from Spurs, Jostein Gundersen scored an own goal in the final minute of normal time.

Spurs had a goal ruled out and missed a penalty as they battled to a 2-2 draw against Bodo/Glimt in Norway. The English team have now picked four points following their opening day 1-0 win over Villarreal.
