Michael Olise’s brace inspires Bayern Munich comeback win over Freiburg

Michael Olise scored a brace as Bayern Munich maintained their unbeaten start to the Bundesliga with a comprehensive 6-2 win over SC Freiburg, Softfootball reports.

The Bavarians drew 2-2 against Union Berlin in their last match before the international break while Freiburg defeated St Pauli 2-1 and entered the match-day 11 hoping to continue their winning run. But it was Bayern Munich that smiled home with all three points.

Bayern Munich excited shared the result of the intriguing match with their fans via their official X handle. They wrote:

Softfootball preview for this match highlighted how Bayern Munich wanted to bounce back from their draw against Union Berlin and it looked like they were losing the plot when the visitors raced to a 2-0 lead courtesy goals from Yuito Suzuki and Johan Manzambi.

However, like a true champion the Bavarians fought back as youngster Lennart Karl reduced the deficit before France international, Michael Olise equalised just before half-time.

Dayot Upamecano showed why Bayern are keen to extend his contract when he popped up at the far post to give the Bundesliga champions the lead with a simple finish. From there, the Bavarians stepped on the gas as goalscoring machine, Harry Kane got among the goals with his sides fifth of the match.

With six minutes left on the clock, Michael Olise added his second goal of the encounter as Bayern Munich wrapped it up at 6-2. The France international also picked up the Man-of-the-Match award.

Bayern Munich will return to action on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League when they will travel to London to face Arsenal at the Emirates stadium in a competition they would like to win this season under manager Vincent Kompany.
