McKennie, who nearly left permanently after his 2024 loan spell at Leeds United F.C., has since re-established himself as a crucial figure in Turin.

Under Thiago Motta, the USMNT midfielder has become one of the most reliable performers in midfield, starting 25 Serie A matches this season while contributing two goals and five assists. Beyond statistics, his tactical flexibility, pressing intensity, and ability to operate in multiple roles have made him indispensable during Juventus’ rebuild following their recent points deduction setback.

While some fans debate whether his improved salary fully reflects his occasional inconsistency in front of goal, the club sees his leadership and experience as vital assets, particularly with the 2026 World Cup approaching in North America.

Elsewhere, Kurt Zouma is in advanced negotiations to join Al Wasl F.C. on a deal until the end of the season. The move is believed to have been influenced by Al Wasl’s sporting director Eric Abidal, a fellow former France international, who has played a key role in negotiations.
