Maxence Lacroix is closing in on a move to Chelsea after an outstanding season with Crystal Palace, Softfootball reports.
The 26-year-old France international is expected to complete his switch to Stamford Bridge after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with reports estimating the transfer fee at around €55 million.
Chelsea are set to add another major defensive reinforcement after already completing the signing of promising Italian full-back Marco Palestra from Atalanta in a deal worth €50 million plus €5 million in add-ons.

Lacroix has established himself as one of the Premier League’s standout defenders, combining composure on the ball with the ability to break lines through his passing, carry possession out from the back, dominate aerial duels and defend crosses and set-pieces effectively.
Premier League proven and entering the prime years of his career, the French defender is widely viewed as a strong fit alongside Levi Colwill and could significantly strengthen Chelsea’s back line if the move is completed.
