Speaking in an interview after the match as shared on Manchester United’s official X handle, De Ligt said:

I’m quite happy that we scored 2-2 in the last minute but I’m also disappointed because I felt that we could’ve won the game. Also, the way they scored the goals. Basically, it was two deflections, it is a shame but in the end 2-2 is better than losing. So, with that I’m happy.

Manchester United are unbeaten for five consecutive matches for the first time under Ruben Amorim’s reign. The Red Devils beat Sunderland 2-0, also got a 2-1 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford before beating Liverpool at Anfield. Their last two have needed in 2-2 draws against Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur.
