Fulham boss Marco Silva has expressed his joy after his side secured their first Premier League win of the season with a narrow win over Leeds United at Craven Cottage. The breakthrough came late, with an own goal, giving fulham all three points in what was a tense contest in West London, Softfootball reports.
The result marked a much-needed response after the Cottagers’ 2–0 defeat to Chelsea and their 1–1 draw with Manchester United away at Old Trafford, as Silva’s men finally found the cutting edge to turn their efforts into maximum reward.

Speaking to the press via Fulham’s official website after the game, Silva admitted the clash against Leeds was far from straightforward but was encouraged by his team’s second-half improvement:
A tight game, very difficult in some moments to break them down. We felt right away that the changes Daniel (Farke) made to be much more conservative, they had good organisation.
First half, we were too slow. We didn’t take many risks in our decision. We didn’t create enough. The game was very balanced.
I think second half, we were much better, much more dynamic. Fatigue in these moments for both teams can make it more open.
Last 30 minutes of the game I think we did create more chances. Some dangerous moments around their box.
Own goal in the last minute of the game, we have to feel a little bit fortunate, but I think second half we did push hard to get the result that we wanted.
It was important for us to keep a clean sheet because we need to create this habit. Because of that, we are able to go on and win the game.

Silva had high praiss for Brazilian winger Kevin, who made an immediate impression on his debut off the bench, he said :
Massive impact from Kevin. I know him very well.
When I pushed to go for him, he’s a player who is still very young but at the same time has enough maturity because he was playing in the Champions League and Europa League.
We don’t have any doubt about his quality. He has a different profile to our other wingers.
Fulham also via its official X handle posted a post match video of manager Marco Silva speaking to the club media on what it feels like after getting their first Premier League win of the season, watch below;
Stronger second half, but we know we can still improve. 📈

The Cottagers will hope this win sparks a turnaround in form as Silva’s men look to build consistency in the coming weeks. With neKevin showing promise and the defense keeping its first clean sheet, Fulham will enter their next fixtures with renewed confidence.
