Manchester United to part ways with Toby Collyer, 21, on loan for the season

Manchester United will part ways with Toby Collyer on loan for the rest of the season as the Red Devils want the youngster to get more experience and more playing time in the 25/26 season. Toby was in the US this summer for preseason with United.

The 21 year old will adorn WestBromich Albion’s jersey for the remainder of the 25/26 season. The young man had made 13 first-team appearances for United last season but with no European football this term, it means game time will be limited to the senior players in the squad.

Collyer has received a number of offers, including Sheffield Wednesday and Hull City but West Brom did win the race to sign the promising talent. Discuss over a permanent move is not completely off the cards as well but United believe the player is one for their future.

Affirming the deal between United and Albion, transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano posted on his verified X handle about the imminent transfer of Toby.

He posted:

Toby Collyer, on the verge of leaving Man United to join West Bromwich on loan.

The agreement is imminent

After United had decided the midfielder won’t be sold, Romano posted again. The new post read:

Toby Collyer’s loan move to West Brom will not include any buy option clause.

Man United trust him for the future as West Brom are set to win the race after Hull City tried in the recent weeks.

United have brought in Benjamin Sesko as their latest striker and will now work on outgoing of the club to balance the books for the season. Rasmus Hojlund is set to join AC Milan as well on loan as Amorim tries to make space for Sesko in the team.

Sesko will partner fellow new buys, Cunha and Mbeumo alongside captain Bruno Fernandez in the attack. United host Arsenal in the Old Trafford on match week 1 of the Premier League fixtures.
