Manchester United players have taken turns to talk about their first impressions of new signing Benjamin Šeško, Softfootball reports.
The 22-year-old signed for the Red Devils from German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig to become the first Slovenian to play for the Mancunians.

Although, he is yet to make any start in the two Premier League matches he has played so far, his aura around his new teammates hasn’t gone unnoticed. In an interview on Manchester United ‘s official club media, the likes of Harry Maguire, Tom Heaton, Diogo Dalot and others talk about their first impressions of the striker.
Tom Heaton said:
“Really, really good lad, and straight away I’ve been impressed with him as a guy. Again, 22 years old, real, real good lad. That’s always the first thing you notice when you have them in the building before, and straight away I’ve been really impressed with him as a guy and how he’s gone about it. But yeah, real, real imposing presence, you know, six foot four, mobile, can score goals. So, yeah, I’d say probably an awful lot of excitement about what he can bring.”
Portuguese defender, Diogo Dalot who has been consistent for the Red Devils over the years. He said:
“Very energetic. He has very good energy. He wants to learn a lot. He wants to help the team. You can feel that he has a lot of quality, of course, otherwise he wouldn’t be here, but at the same time, I can feel that he wants to start straight away, he wants to score goals, he wants to help the team. So, I like that energy on him, and hopefully he can help us a lot this season.”
Man United youngster Tyler Fredricson, added his voice. He said:
“He looks good in the box, so yeah, he’s one to look out for. He’s got that presence about him: big lad. You can tell, I think he’s going to score some goals this season. He looks good in the box. I’ve seen a few things about what he can do, how high he can jump. But yeah, he looks a really good player.”
Former Manchester United Captain, Harry Maguire said:
“He’s a unit for his age. I’m sure he’s going to cause a lot of defenders problems. He’s still young, but he’s got all the attributes to contribute to the team and to contribute to this club for many years to come, so we’ll give him our full backing and, fingers crossed, he scores many goals for us.”
Casemiro was not left out as he said:
“It’s clear he has quality. He is a player who is going to be very important for us. I hope that it goes really well for him, because if it goes well for him, he’s scoring goals for us! I’m sure he’s going to help us a lot with goals.”
Ayden Heaven, who left Arsenal for Manchester United joined in on the conversation. He said:
“Yeah, he’s very quick, if I’m being honest. Good in the air as well. Strong. So, yeah, it’s pretty much what you need as a striker, and yeah, he’s got all of it.”
Uruguay midfielder, Manuel Ugarte said:
“He has a lot of good energy. We are speaking on his first day, [but] I’ve already seen humility, with a lot of desire to learn and to win as well. Everyone on our team will have to help him settle in as much as possible so he’s comfortable, and we will help him.”
Dutch defender, Matthijs de Ligt said:
“I think in England you call this ‘a handful’, like he’s a difficult striker to play against. He’s quick, he’s strong in the air, he’s always on the right spot in front of the goal, so I think he can be a really important player for us to help us score more goals, and yeah, I’m happy that he’s here.”
Manchester United play League 2 side, Grimsby in the Carabao Cup tonight and all eyes will be on whether manager Ruben Amorim would give Šeško his first start in a Red Devils shirt.
