Manchester United recalls midfielder Toby Collyer from West Brom loan

Premier League giants, Manchester United have recalled midfielder Toby Collyer from his loan spell at West Brom, Softfootball understands.

Manchester United lost 2-1 against Aston Villa last weekend in a game that saw Captain Bruno Fernandes substituted with an injury, Kobbie Mainoo was also not available following a knock while midfield veteran Casemiro didn’t feature because of suspension.

Manuel Ugarte is not trusted by the manager Ruben Amorim, leaving Manchester United short in midfield. According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, the Red Devils want Collyer, who is currently undergoing treatment not to return to West Brom after recovery. He revealed:

Manchester United have recalled Toby Collyer from his loan at West Brom. Collyer already returned to Carrington for treatment, the club has now decided he won’t be heading back once he recovers as @lauriewhitwell reports.

Manchester United are preparing for the Boxing Day clash against Newcastle. The Red Devils will be chasing a home win over the Magpies, who squandered a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 against Chelsea last weekend.
