Manchester United midfielder Toby Collyer has joined English Championship side West Brom Albion on a season-long loan, Softfootball reports.
The 21-year-old made 13 first-team appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions during the 2024/25 campaign, playing in the Premier League, Carabao Cup, Emirates FA Cup and Europa League.

Collyer featured heavily in Manchester United’s pre-season but he is behind the pecking order in midfield behind Manuel Ugarte, Casemiro and Mainoo. He moved away on loan to get more playing time.
After signing his contract, Collyer revealed to West Brom’s official club media that a conversation with the Coach, Ryan Mason helped him make a choice to join the Baggies.
He explained:
“I spoke with the gaffer Ryan Mason and I got a really good first impression from him.
“Albion seems like the right place and the right environment for me and I’m hoping to play as much as possible.
“This is a great opportunity for me to help the team and take my game to the next level, which I’m really excited about.”
Sporting Director, Andrew Nestor added this about the Manchester United midfielder:
He said:
“Toby is a dynamic midfielder who we rate highly and believe that his strengths will complement our already strong midfield options.
“He is an ideal central midfielder for our playing model with his physical attributes, progressive play and passing ability, and has the capability to make a real impression this season.”
Collyer is rated highly and tipped for a big future but he needs a club where he can develop his game and believes West Brom provides that opportunity for him. He would hope to return to Old Trafford a better player in the summer of 2026.
Collyer is available for selection when West Brom visits newly promoted Wrexham in an early kickoff match on Saturday in the match-day 2 of the Sky Bet Championship.
