Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has praised Patrick Dorgu following his masterclass displayed during the Red Devils’ 4-1 win over Bournemouth in the early hours of Thursday in Chicago, Softfootball reports.
As reported by Softfootball earlier, Dorgu, who was voted Man of the Match for his outstanding performance, scored and assisted fellow teammate Rasmus Hojlund to secure a massive win for Manchester United, who have recorded two straight wins since they arrived in America for the Premier League Summer Series.

Afterwards, the duo of Amad Diallo and academy star Ethan Williams were also on the scoresheet, but the Ruben Amorim side would have recorded a perfect victory if Matthijs De Ligt had not caused an own goal at the cusp of the second half.
Speaking to the club media, Amorim said:
“It’s impressive.
“He’s 20 years old, but he looks more and more like he belongs at Manchester United. That is hard to do at his age, but he’s powerful, he’s adding technique to his game, and he’s defending and pressing at a really high level. I’m really impressed with Patrick.”
The victory marked another promising outing for Amorim’s side, who have shown steady improvement across their US tour. The manager highlighted the group’s defensive shape, high pressing, and improved ball circulation as key signs of tactical progress.

He continued:
“We controlled Evanilson and Semenyo really well.
“The intensity was there, the players are focused not just in games but in training too. There’s a strong bond forming in the squad.”
Højlund’s goal was another bright moment, but Amorim made a point of recognising the Danish striker’s all-round play.
About Hojlund, Amorim added:
“It’s more than a goal. He’s linking the play, fighting for second balls, and and helping us play out when we’re under pressure. That’s so important for how we want to play.”
Amorim’s next game is against Everton on Saturday, 3rd August, in Chicago.
