However, Beckham, who recently hailed Trent Alexander-Arnold for his freekick prowess admitted that Manchester United almost sold him to Barcelona but his love for Real Madrid made him reject the deal and switched to Real Madrid.

Beckham revealed it all during an interview with the CBS Sports official media. The co-owner of Inter Miami said:

My team was always Real Madrid and fondly enough I got sold from Manchester United to Barcelona. I was on holiday, Peter-Kenyon phoned me and he said, we’ve accepted a bid from Barcelona and we are selling you and I said, if you are going to sell me, the only team I want to move to is Real Madrid. Because I’ve always had a dream of playing for Real Madrid when I was a young kid.

Sir David Beckham was recently Knighted by King Charles III in a ceremony held at the Windsor Castle and many saw it as him deserving of the honour as he has come a long way representing England and providing jobs to boost the economies of various countries.
