Manchester City Reward Divine Mukasa with New Long-Term Deal

Fresh from celebrating the third anniversary of their historic 2023 FA Cup final victory over Manchester United, the first trophy on their Treble-winning journey, Manchester City via their official X handle have confirmed that highly rated midfielder Divine Mukasa has signed a new contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2030.

Softootball understands that the 18-year-old attacking midfielder has made significant strides since joining City’s academy from West Ham United FC in 2023.

Born in London to a Ugandan father and Lithuanian mother, Mukasa has developed into one of the club’s brightest prospects, impressing across youth levels before earning first-team opportunities and gaining valuable senior experience during a loan spell with Leicester City FC.

In a move highlighting the Premier League’s focus on youth development, Tottenham Hotspur have also confirmed a new contract for academy defender Maeson King, marking another important step in his progression through the club’s ranks.

Speaking after signing the extension, Mukasa praised the environment at Manchester City, noting that working alongside elite coaches and world-class players has accelerated his growth and strengthened his desire to continue his development at the Etihad Stadium.
