Manchester United staff remain confident that Benjamin Šeško will return to full training at the beginning of December after positive medical checks confirmed he avoided a long-term injury in a post shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X account.

As reported by SoftFootball, the striker went off injured during the 2–2 draw with Tottenham, prompting immediate concern from manager Ruben Amorim, who admitted uncertainty over the severity of the issue.

Fabrizio Romano posted:

Manchester United staff expect to have Benjamin Šeško back training with the group at the beginning of December. Slovenian striker expected to be sidelined for around 3 weeks, not a serious/long injury as reported 10 days ago.

Initial worry was eased once scans at Carrington showed no ligament damage and no structural complications. Reports later clarified that he would miss around three weeks, aligning with Manchester United’s current expectation of his return set for the early days of December.

SoftFootball also recently highlighted Šeško’s growing connection with Old Trafford supporters after his first home goal, providing further context to his importance in the squad.

Šeško’s absence ruled him out of Slovenia’s qualifiers against Kosovo and Sweden, and while there was initial confusion between club and national team staff regarding medical documents, the Slovenian federation eventually confirmed they had received full reports.

He is also confirmed to miss United’s upcoming fixtures against Everton, Crystal Palace, and West Ham. His potential return could align with the match against Wolves on December 8, though the club plan to avoid rushing him back into action.

The 22-year-old has managed two goals from seven starts since joining from RB Leipzig for £64 million, and although some pundits have questioned his impact, Amorim has repeatedly stressed how vital he is to the overall project.

Former United striker Dimitar Berbatov recently encouraged Šeško to show more presence in the final third, a message shared on SoftFootball as part of the club’s expectations for his development.

United hope that his return will strengthen their attacking structure as they enter the busiest run of the season. Club medical staff remain optimistic that with steady rehabilitation and controlled training, Šeško will be ready to contribute fully once December begins.
