Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has won the man of the match award after making five saves against Como, as Udinese played out a 1–1 draw in their Serie A opener.
Softfootball understood Okoye was outstanding, producing crucial saves throughout the match to help Udinese secure a point.
Maduka Okoye’s participation in this match is still a shock, as Softfootball had believed he could miss the start of the Serie A season after a shoulder injury.
However, his return to goal and strong performance show the Nigerian goalkeeper is now fit and back to active play.
