Noni Madueke has opened up about the warm support he has felt from Arsenal fans since making his move from Chelsea. In a recent interview posted by Arsenal via their official X account, he stated that his move to Arsenal didn’t look so promising at first.

When asked about settling in during his first months at Arsenal.

He said:

It was a bit dicey at the start, on social media and stuff, before I came to the club. But bro, when we’ve been in the stadium, I haven’t felt that close to fans, to be honest, in the stadium.

Arsenal coach Arteta recently stated that Madueke brings courage, quality and joy to Arsenal. Madueke added that once he stepped out at the Emirates, the atmosphere honestly surprised him in a good way, and he hears the fans pushing him on every time he gets on the ball.

He said:

So I can hear them literally throughout the game, like pushing me on whenever I get the ball. I hear them, you know? So God willing that continues, man, because it gives me a big boost! Like, I always loved playing at the Emirates, always looking forward to the next game where I’m back at the Emirates, you know? So yeah, now the fans have been amazing, and yeah, I really appreciate how they’ve handled everything.

His progress took a hit with a knee injury that kept him out for weeks; he made his return back to the team in Arsenal’s 4-1 win over Tottenham, as reported by Softfootball.

In the interview, Madueke also spoke a lot about the culture inside the squad and how it has helped him settle quickly.

He said:

The team’s been great. Of course we’re flying, but it’s not just a team full of great and talented players. It’s a team full of good people, and I think the culture around here is probably the best I’ve seen.

Even though social media made his arrival feel awkward, the connection he feels inside the stadium has been far stronger than he expected.
