Liverpool are more open to entertain offers for Colombian winger Luis Diaz, with Bayern Munich reportedly stepping up efforts to sign him before the end of summer transfer window.
Softfootball understands that the 28-year-old winger has emerged as the top target for the Bundesliga champions this summer, and the Premier League title-holders are now warming up to the idea of a departure, after initially rejecting overtures.

According to Transfer News Live via X, a meeting is already scheduled between Bayern Munich and Liverpool executives to discuss the transfer of Luis Diaz, and the German club are prepared to submit a new offer.
🚨 Bayern are making progress on the signing of Luis Diaz. They have reached an agreement on personal terms over a four-year contract. He will earn €14M-a-year basic.

The situation is gaining momentum due to Diaz’s clear desire to leave Liverpool and the English club’s need to sell, following their recent transfer activity.
The Reds are close to finalising the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike for a big fee, and could even pursue Real Madrid’s Rodrygo if they manage to offload two current attackers.
Bayern Munich, thus, see an opportunity to secure Diaz and are making a serious push. They are also negotiating personal terms with the player, offering a contract until 2029 with an optional extension to 2030, and a gross annual salary of around €14 million plus performance-related bonuses.
Softfootball understands that a bid of €80m could bring Liverpool to the negotiation table for Diaz. Which is what Byaern should have done in the first place because that was pretty much the figure the Liverpool-based journos were throwing out when estimating what Liverpool valued Luis Diaz at.
With the Hugo Ekitike deal looking like it’s going to be finalised in the next few days, and Bayern finally opening up the wallet for Diaz, expect Liverpool to move on to signing a centre-back, and a left-wing option to replace the Colombian next.
Meanwhile, Softfootball reported earlier that Madrid want to pay €25m for Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate. Real Madrid have informed Liverpool that they can only offer €25m for French defender, Ibrahima Konate this summer.
Liverpool had slapped a non-negotiable price tag of €50m (£43m/$58m) on the centre back who is going into the last year of his Liverpool contract. Konate’s contract expires in the summer of 2026 which means Liverpool are at risk of losing him for free just like they did Trent Alexander-Arnold.
