Liverpool secured a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on 27 October 2024, coming from behind to salvage a point in a pulsating Premier League encounter, Softfootball reports.

Arsenal struck early, with Bukayo Saka opening the scoring in the 9th minute following a well-timed assist from Ben White. Liverpool responded swiftly, and Virgil van Dijk headed home in the 18th minute to level the score. The first half saw both sides create several chances, but it was Mikel Merino’s header in the 43rd minute that gave Arsenal a 2-1 lead just before the break.

Liverpool pressed for an equalizer throughout the second half, making tactical changes that brought on Cody Gakpo, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Wataru Endō. Their efforts paid off in the 81st minute when Mohamed Salah finished expertly off a Darwin Núñez assist to restore parity at 2-2.

Liverpool dominated possession (56%) and completed 95% of their passes, creating more opportunities than Arsenal, who had 44% of the ball and three shots on target. Both teams received two yellow cards each, with Alexis Mac Allister and Darwin Núñez booked for Liverpool, while Arsenal saw David Raya and Gabriel Jesus cautioned.
