Lionel Messi has declared that he is proud representing Argentina after their win in a one of the most expensive friendlies ever against Angola, Softfootball reports.
The Inter Miami superstar scored the second goal after Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez had given the away side the lead as Argentina won 2-0 against Palancas Negras of Angola.

Messi’s illustrious career includes 196 appearances for the Argentina as he is the most-capped player in the country’s history and has also scored 114 goals. Messi, who recently reached 400 career assists, got another one against Angola as he slipped in Lautaro Martinez to open scoring just before half-time.
In the 82nd minute, Messi scored to make it 2-0 and the home fans cheered so loud as if it was an Angola player that scored inside the Estádio 11 de Novembro. The friendly was a significant one as the country marked their recent golden jubilee, Independence Day.

It was claimed that Angola reportedly paid $12million to have the friendly and have Messi feature in the game. Interestingly, the last time both sides met, the scoreline was the same. Argentina beat 89th ranked Angola 2-0 as they prepared for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
