Kylian Mbappé scored his 400th career goal on November 13, 2025, during France’s 4–0 win over Ukraine in a World Cup qualifier. The result sealed France’s place at the 2026 tournament and continued a strong run of performances, as reported by SoftFootball. Mbappé reached the milestone at 26 years and 328 days old, becoming the youngest player since Pelé to hit 400 goals.

His rise has been consistent across club and country. A recent SoftFootball feature on his club form also detailed how his move to Real Madrid accelerated his scoring pace. Even with this progress, Mbappé refused to exaggerate the moment. Before sharing his quotes, he explained that the milestone does not define him and that he wants to push far beyond it.

He delivered the lines calmly in a post shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X account, saying:

400 goals don’t impress people. I want to make my mark in football history, so I have to score at least 400 more. There is one with 950+ goals, and another with 900+. 400 isn’t enough to stay in the circle of players who shock people.

Mbappé’s 400 goals are spread across four teams. He scored 27 for AS Monaco, 256 for Paris Saint-Germain, 62 for Real Madrid and 55 for France. He reached the tally in 537 matches, adding 152 assists. His 400th goal came for France, just like his 100th and 300th, which shows how often he rises to the moment on the international stage.

After the match, he continued to speak about challenging the extraordinary numbers set by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. He said that 1,000 goals sounded unreal but added that Ronaldo proves it is possible. His scoring path at this age already surpasses both legends, giving him a real chance if he maintains his current rhythm.

Mbappé is also close to becoming France’s all-time top scorer. His 55 goals place him only two behind Olivier Giroud’s record of 57. France faces Azerbaijan next, giving him an early shot at overtaking the mark. Reaching it would add another milestone to a career that still appears to be moving toward something much bigger.
