Tottenham Hotspur are yet to officially announce any new signings this summer; however, there have been behind-the-scenes movements to bolster the squad ahead of a demanding 2025/26 campaign.
But according to London Football, the North London-based side has been making moves to bring in players needed by Thomas Frank ahead of the new season.
The duo of Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso have made their stays permanent following successful loan spells last season, while a deal has reportedly been agreed for Japanese defender Kota Takai from Kawasaki Frontale, though it remains unconfirmed by the club.
Meanwhile, the new head coach, Thomas Frank, oversaw the return of players to Hotspur Way this week, with the Danish tactician beginning preparations for a season that will include a return to the UEFA Europa League.
Softfootball had previously reported that West Ham wanted a bigger deal for Mohammed Kudus. Tottenham, now under the guidance of new head coach Thomas Frank, submitted a bid in the region of £50 million plus £5 million in add-ons for the 24-year-old attacker.

Softfootball highlights three possible transfers Tottenham is likely to make this weekend, as the transfer market gets intense.
Mohammed Kudus – West Ham
The Ghana international is high on Spurs’ list as they look to inject creativity and versatility into their forward line. Kudus can operate across the front three or in a central attacking midfield role. Spurs are aware of his £85m release clause, valid until July 10, but West Ham may be forced to negotiate closer to £60m due to financial concerns.

Kudus, who joined West Ham from Ajax in 2023, has an £80 million release clause in his contract. While the London club may be open to accepting offers below that figure, Spurs’ current offer is not expected to move the needle.
The Ghana international hasn’t been a standout performer since he arrived in England. He has only recorded 13 goals in 63 games, four fewer than the same number of games played for Ajax before his breakthrough in England.
Kyle Walker-Peters – Free Agent
A return for academy graduate Kyle Walker-Peters is seen as a smart move by Tottenham. With Spurs needing to meet UEFA’s homegrown quota for European competition, the Southampton full-back offers both depth and compliance.

Walker-Peters has grown into a reliable, versatile defender since leaving Spurs in 2020. While he previously committed to Southampton, the lure of European football and a return to familiar surroundings could tempt him back. For Tottenham, it’s a low-risk, strategic signing that ticks both footballing and regulatory boxes.
Christian Nørgaard – Brentford
Although the Danish midfielder appears Arsenal-bound, Spurs could consider hijacking the deal. With Frank now at the helm and in need of a natural holding midfielder, the 31-year-old could be tempted to reunite with his former boss.

Aside from these three possible transfers, Softfootball had earlier revealed that they are battling Newcastle for Chelsea’s Josh Acheampong. Josh Acheampong of Chelsea has been the subject of transfer speculation—but in a twist, the young defender recently signed a contract extension.
Despite that, Softfootball also gathered that Chelsea is open to selling the 19-year-old if a favourable offer comes in. This is because Chelsea is well-stocked in the right-back department, with Reece James and Malo Gusto ahead of him in the pecking order.
