New Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky has revealed that former Spurs shot-stopper Radek Cerny played a key role in convincing him to complete his move to North London.
Softfootball gathered that Kinsky spoke with Cerny shortly before finalising his transfer, with the former goalkeeper encouraging him to seize the opportunity.
Introducing the advice he received, Kinsky explained why Cerny’s opinion mattered, saying:
I didn’t have so much time to speak about the move with others because we had a break in the Czech league… but today I spoke with him.
He told me only good things about Spurs and encouraged me to go for it. He was my goalkeeper coach at Slavia Prague for four years, so his opinion was very important to me.
The Czech goalkeeper added that he is excited to begin his Tottenham career and could make his debut in the Carabao Cup against Liverpool.
Kinsky arrives with high expectations as Spurs continue strengthening their squad for the remainder of the campaign.
