Karim Adeyemi has praised Barcelona after making his move from Borussia Dortmund, describing the Catalan giants as the best team in the world. The Germany international spoke highly of his new club during an interview with ARA, highlighting the quality within the squad and Barcelona’s ambitions for the season.

Adeyemi’s comments come after Barcelona completed his signing from Borussia Dortmund in July. The club confirmed that the forward signed a contract running until 2031, with the transfer bringing him back together with Hansi Flick, who handed him his senior Germany debut.

Softfootball believes Adeyemi’s early confidence reflects the strong impression he has made since arriving at Camp Nou. The 24-year-old has already contributed goals and assists in LaLiga and has quickly become another attacking option for Flick alongside Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.

The German forward also believes Barcelona have the quality to compete against any opponent, while making the Champions League one of the major objectives for the campaign. His comments underline the high expectations surrounding his arrival and his desire to make an immediate impact.

Adeyemi’s pace and versatility give Flick another option across the front line, with the forward capable of operating on either wing or through the middle. Barcelona’s official announcement highlighted those qualities as key reasons for bringing him to the club.

With Adeyemi now settled in Catalonia, Barcelona will hope his speed, directness and attacking quality can help them compete for major honours this season.
