Juventus offer Ndidi champions league football for next season

Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi could be on the move this summer, with Italian giants Juventus showing strong interest in securing his services following Leicester City’s relegation from the English Premier League.

Softfootball understands that the 28-year-old is available for a modest €9m due to a release clause activated after Leicester’s drop from the top flight in the 2024–25 season. The midfielder, who has been a key figure at the King Power Stadium since joining from Belgian side Genk in 2017, is now attracting attention from several clubs across Europe.

According to football-Italia, Juventus offers Ndidi champions league football for next season after finishing fourth in the Serie A last season. Inside sources close to the club say he is not being considered as a replacement for Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz, who recently joined the Bianconeri from Aston Villa. The two players possess distinct playing styles, with Ndidi known more for his defensive acumen and ball-winning abilities.

The Old Lady are believed to be awaiting Ndidi’s decision as he weighs offers from both Serie A and Premier League clubs. Should he choose to join Juventus, he would become only the second Nigerian to feature for the club after Stephen Makinwa’s brief stint in their youth setup.

Ndidi’s current contract with Leicester runs until 2027, but the reduced fee has made him a hot commodity in the summer transfer window. His experience—over 240 appearances for Leicester—makes him a valuable asset for any top European side seeking a midfield enforcer.

In addition to pursuing Ndidi, Juventus are also in negotiations with Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, who has reportedly prioritised a move to Turin. Meanwhile, the club have already confirmed the signing of Canadian striker Jonathan David on a free transfer, handing him a five-year deal.

If Juventus succeed in landing both Ndidi and Sancho, it would mark a significant revamp of their squad as they aim to return to the summit of Italian and European football.

Softfootball previously reported that Ndidi was on the radar of Manchester United and Everton but Napoli offers the Leicester City midfielder a chance for UEFA Champions League football next season.

Ndidi, who remains a pivotal figure in the Super Eagles setup, will now have to decide whether a move to Serie A aligns with his career ambitions.
