Juventus FC dropped crucial points in the race for a top-four finish after being held to a 1–1 draw by Hellas Verona in Turin. Despite dominating large spells of the match, Juventus fell behind in a surprising first-half setback, struggling to convert their early chances.

The defeat comes shortly after their goalless draw with Milan in April, a result that had kept the Serie A top-four race finely poised. Meanwhile AC Milan endured a frustrating afternoon today, May 3, 2026, as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat against US Sassuolo at the MAPEI Stadium.

Softfootball gathered in the Juventus and Verona match that Francisco Conceição and Gleison Bremer both came close, but it was the visitors who struck first against the run of play.

Head coach Luciano Spalletti responded by introducing Dušan Vlahović, and the Serbian forward delivered with a stunning free-kick just after the hour mark to level the score, ending his Serie A goal drought since October.

Juventus pushed for a winner, with Conceição again denied by an inspired Lorenzo Montipò, who produced multiple key saves, including a dramatic late stop to keep out Edon Zhegrova.

vmp69 says they don’t deserve the champions league

Ok, enough is enough, we don’t deserve the Champions, make way for those who know how to play football and for those with the mentality to take the field to win matches.

allberto commented:

How do you manage to throw away three-quarters of a match with David on the pitch… and then Bremer, between penalties he causes and mistakes in the box, I don’t know how useful it is to keep him around.

deigo says he’s tired of watching Juventus play and has urged the Club to get a new goal keeper next season

Every time I feel like rewatching a match…I understand why the previous time I thought I’d never watch you put on these disgraceful performances again. Please, buy a real goalkeeper next year.

Throughout the entire Championship, every time we could catch up with the teams ahead of us, we’ve always failed, drawing or losing, but what is Spalletti’s job? To choke with the lineup in the most favorable moments for Juventus, what’s more, at home in Turin

fabiano says you have to score to win

You need to score goals to win. Only Conceição gives the impression of actually wanting to play. I dreamed of Zhegrova’s goal, but it was just a post. I don’t want to see J. David anymore.

The result leaves Juventus fourth in the table but under increasing pressure from rivals, while Verona, already relegated before kickoff, managed to take a valuable point in a resilient display.
