Juventus fullback Jonas Rouhi is on close to joining Westerlo on an initial loan deal with a buy option, following a verbal agreement between the Turin side and Westerlo, Softfootball reports.
The 21-year-old is expected to undergo his medical at the Belgian club before finalising his deal. The Swedish left-back recently signed a contract extension with the Old Lady until 2028 after he was promoted to the first team in August 2024 following a successful season with the Next Gen team.
According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Rouhi will sign the deal after passing his medical. He said:

Rouhi was promoted to the first team under former Juventus Thiago Motta and featured in several matches last season when the Bianconeri were short of options at left back. Juan Cabal was not absence at the time and Andrea Cambiaso suffered recurring injuries which paved the way for the youngster to transition into the first team.
This season under new manager, Igor Tudor playing time would be hard to come by and that means Rouhi must seek a loan move if he wants to continue his development with first team football. He wasn’t part of the Juventus team that beat Parma 2-0 in the Serie A opener.
Although, he is leaving on loan, Juventus would welcome a permanent deal for the left back. Interestingly, Westerlo wasn’t in the picture initially as it was Sassuolo, Pisa and Verona all registering interest for Rouhi.
Westerlo are currently placed 11th on the league table in Belgium and will hope the arrival of Rouhi can help them claim the log with his pace and good sense of positioning on the pitch.
