Romano stated:

Juventus are closing in on new deal for Weston McKennie, agreement at final stages. After new round of talks in the recent days, Weston and Juve have almost agreed all details of new deal. Announcement next.

McKennie, whose current contract was due to expire at the end of the 2025–26 season, was not expected to leave on a free transfer, and Juventus have now moved decisively to secure his future.

Under the terms of the new agreement, the United States international will earn around €4 million per season, with bonuses pushing his first-year earnings slightly above that figure. Reports indicate that his salary will increase incrementally with each year of the contract.

This development also comes after Softfootball reported on February 21, 2026 that Cesc Fàbregas guided Como 1907 to a 2–0 victory over Juventus, lifting Como to sixth place in Serie A, just one point behind the Bianconeri.

With competition intensifying, securing McKennie’s long-term commitment represents a significant boost for the Turin giants.

The renewal comes during a busy period for Juventus, who are preparing for key fixtures in both Serie A and the Champions League against Galatasaray SK and AS Roma respectively. Tuesday’s reports suggest the official confirmation could arrive after this weekend’s clash with Roma.

The timing of McKennie’s extension follows closely on the heels of a new deal for rising star Kenan Yıldız, who has become one of the club’s highest earners. Juventus’ strategy signals a clear intent to build stability around a core group of players as they aim to reassert themselves domestically and in Europe.

With nearly all details settled, Juventus now appear set to tie down one of their most versatile and experienced midfielders for the remainder of his prime years.
