Ange Postecoglou has been reportedly appointed as the new head coach of Nottingham Forest after Nuno Espirito Santo was relieved of his duties few days ago.
Softfootball understands that the contract, valid until June 2027 has been finalized and approved by lawyers on both sides. The 60-year-old emerged as a leading contender to replace Nuno at the City Ground, having parted company with Spurs in June weeks after winning the Europa League title with the north London club.
Postecoglou has been out of management since then. He had contact from Al Ahli who considered him a candidate for a managerial change but it was not pursued. He was also contacted by Brentford, who eventually appointed Keith Andrews replacing Thomas Frank this summer.

The former Tottenham boss is set to begin a new chapter at the City Ground, bringing experience and ambition as Forest prepare for the Premier League challenges under his leadership.
The fact he is ready to step into the job straight away was a clear draw and saw him beat Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers and Jose Mourinho to the job.
Forest are expected to announce Postecoglou’s arrival as their new manager in the next 24 hours. The Australian head coach will arrive at the City Ground with several of his former backroom staff from Tottenham.
Postecoglou’s first match in charge of Forest will be a blockbuster visit to Emirates Stadium this Saturday, as they take on Arsenal in the Premier League.
