Newcastle United captain, Bruno Guimaraes has called Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham the best midfielder in the world in a recent Saturday social video with Sky Sports.
Bellingham has proven to be far more than a blessing for Real Madrid. Few players in the club’s history have seized responsibility at such a young age and delivered with such remarkable consistency.
According to a post by Fabrizio Romano via his Facebook page, when asked to rank the best midfielders in world football, the Brazilian placed Jude Bellingham at the top of his list, with Barcelona’s Pedri second and PSG’s Vitinha completing his top three.
Defending his choice, the Brazilian gave his reasoning behind it, talking about how Bellingham would be a bit more difficult to defend. He said:
“He is the most difficult to defend [out of the three]. Jude Bellingham is the best midfielder in the world. He’s complete. Physically very strong, he scores goals, defends. A monster. I am a big fan of him.”
The words coming from the Newcastle United midfielder is a testament to the reputation Bellingham has built for himself following his move to Real Madrid.
In just two years, the Englishman has established himself as a key difference-maker at Los Blancos and a leader, both on and off the pitch.
The 22-year-old always gets praise from current players and managers because of the level of threat he brings to the table on a consistent basis.
Bellingham’s performances were crucial in Real Madrid’s success during the 2024/25 campaign. The Englishman, though, lacked the same panache last season under Carlo Ancelotti. But he will be hoping for things to improve under the new coach Xabi Alonso.
Unfortunately, though, Softfootball reported earlier that Bellingham is currently injured owing to surgery. He is expected to return sometime around November, even though his post surgery rehab is going very well.
Until then, Real Madrid are going to rely heavily on the services of their current creative midfield options, including Arda Guler, Brahim Diaz and even new signing Franco Mastantuono.
