Softfootball reports that Chelsea legend John Terry celebrates his 45th birthday. Born in Barking, England, Terry’s career is remembered for leadership, loyalty, and an unshakeable will to win, qualities that made him the heartbeat of every team he captained.
Fans still recall his commanding presence on the pitch and the way he seemed to organise the defence by sheer authority.

And many would have been of the opinion that with him in defence Chelsea would not have felt shaky like in the 3-1 defeat to Leeds United or his last-gasp heroics would have helped get a win in their last barren 0-0 draw against Bournemouth last time out.
Terry spent 19 years at Chelsea, rising from the youth academy to become the club’s most decorated captain. Across all competitions, he made 717 appearances, scoring 66 goals, including 41 in the Premier League, the highest tally by any defender in league history.

He led Chelsea to five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, a Champions League, and a Europa League. He is also the only captain to lift five Premier League trophies and the first to raise the FA Cup at the new Wembley in 2007.
Chelsea sent a warm birthday message to their legend via their official X account.
They posted:

On the international stage, Terry earned 78 caps for England and captained the side from 2006 to 2012. While major tournament glory eluded him, he was named in the 2006 FIFA World Cup All-Star Team, the only English player to receive that honour.
Individually, his accolades include three UEFA Club Defender of the Year awards (2005, 2008, 2009) and the PFA Players’ Player of the Year in 2005, making him the first Chelsea player to win the award.
The Premier League also sent him a birthday wish congratulating him on his immense achievements in the League via their official X account.
