Nigerian music star Joeboy has expressed his delight following the dismissal of Erik ten Hag as Manchester United manager, Softfootball reports.

The Dutch coach was relieved of his duties on Monday after a disappointing run of results that left the Red Devils struggling in the Premier League.

Speaking during Friday’s Premier League Show, Joeboy admitted he was pleased with the club’s decision, insisting Ten Hag had been given enough opportunities to prove himself.

The singer said the former Ajax boss failed to deliver the results expected at a club of Manchester United’s stature despite receiving ample time and support.

Joeboy also lamented the decline in United’s reputation under Ten Hag, noting that opponents were no longer intimidated by facing the club.

According to him, watching Manchester United lose their fear factor was painful as a supporter and highlighted how far the team had fallen.

Manchester United have since appointed Ruben Amorim as their new head coach, with hopes that the Portuguese tactician can revive the club’s fortunes and restore them to competing for major honours.
