Tottenham have made significance progress in the capturing of Portuguese midfielder, Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich. The midfielder had earlier denied any intent to leave the German champions this summer as reported by Softfootball.
According to multiple reports, Spurs reached an agreement to take the Bayern Munich midfielder on loan. Palhinha had joined Bayern from Fulham for £47.4m last summer but had been impeded by multiple injuries since joining the German side.

Palhinha only managed 17 appearances in totla for Bayern last term and Kompany’s side are looking to help him get more playing times. Palhinha still has three years remaining on his current Bayern contract.
Softfootball was informed that Spurs only wanted a season long deal but Bayern late Thursday inserted a non-compulsory option to buy for €30m in the contract for the 30 years old. Spurs and Bayern had done business recently on Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Mathys Tel.
With Spurs still looking to fill up a couple of other position they feel still need more legs, this loan deal for Palhinha allows them to pursuit their targets for this summer. Thomas Frank’s side is reported by Sky Sports to still want a left back and a new attacking midfielder.
Fabrizio Romano, transfer journalist had taken to his verified X handle to report the new update about Palhinha’s move to Spurs.
He wrote:
“João has completed his medical as new Tottenham player. Formal steps to follow between clubs after deal agreed on loan with salary covered by #THFC… and €30m buy option clause, not mandatory.“
Palhinha will be bringing his wealth of experience in the Premier League to Spurs as he was a big feature for Fulham before moving to Bayern Munich.
The Portuguese will be hoping to be over his injury crisis so as to have an action filled loan spell in North London.
