Ardon Jashari’s move to AC Milan is edging closer after he was left out of Club Brugge’s squad for their season opener against KRC Genk. The 22-year-old midfielder’s absence is seen as a strong signal that a transfer could be imminent.
Jashari had already raised eyebrows by skipping Brugge’s team photo earlier this month. While he briefly returned to training, head coach Nicky Hayen admitted that the situation surrounding the player would be clear soon. Now, with Milan pushing ahead in negotiations, his exclusion appears to confirm the Swiss international is nearing the exit.

Softfootball reported that AC Milan earlier defeated Liverpool in a preseason friendly in Hong Kong, and transfer expert and sports pundit Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Jashari has rejected two fresh approaches from Premier League clubs this week, holding firm on his desire to join the Rossoneri.
Romano posted on his official account on X:
“Ardon Jashari, not called up with Club Brugge squad for upcoming game. The player wants AC Milan move and talks between all parties involved remain underway to get the deal done. Jashari said no to 2 Premier League clubs again this week , he wants AC Milan.”
Milan have restructured their bid, offering €35 million up front with easily reachable bonuses to bring the total package to €38 million. Jashari, who grew up supporting Milan after a childhood visit to San Siro, is believed to be personally pushing for the deal.

The Serie A side are clearing room for reinforcements with the sales of Emerson Royal, Ismael Bennacer, and Lorenzo Colombo progressing well. Milan recently wrapped up the signing of Brighton defender Pervis Estupiñán and are keen to bolster their squad further under new boss Massimiliano Allegri.
Jashari refused to play in the Belgian Super Cup last week, further underlining his intent. Milan remain confident that their improved offer will convince Brugge to green-light the move in the coming days.
