Softfootball understand At the time, former Spurs manager Thomas Frank was understood to be a major admirer of Spence and sanctioned the new deal after the defender impressed against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup and during Tottenham’s victory over newly promoted Burnley.
Now, just a year later, Inter are attempting to prise the versatile defender away from North London.
With Spence already agreeing personal terms and Inter having submitted their opening proposal, further negotiations are expected as both clubs work towards finding common ground on the final transfer fee.
