Softfootball reports that Paris Saint‑Germain have suffered an injury blow as 20-year-old midfielder Désiré Doué was stretchered off during their 1-1 draw with FC Lorient today, after suffering what appears to be a right-thigh muscle injury. He was withdrawn around the 61st minute, visibly unable to put weight on his leg.
Sports expert Fabrizio Romano, via his official X account, made the news official when he posted the latest update regarding the situation.
Désiré Doué suffers serious muscle injury and will be assessed by PSG staff.

Although Fabrizio’s statement is cautious and does not indicate a return date, he hinted that the injury is “serious” and may require several weeks of recovery pending PSG’s official assessment. It’s especially frustrating given that Doué had already missed time earlier this season due to a calf issue he suffered while on international break.
Head coach Luis Enrique will be worried because the blow sets the squad back during a packed fixture period. The club’s medical team will carry out further scans in the next 24–48 hours to determine the full nature and severity of the injury.

For Doué himself, the timing could not be worse. He had begun to stake a claim in the first team; Softfootball reported how he helped the team grab a 3-0 win over Brest in their last league outing , offering creativity and momentum in attack. Now, PSG must adjust without one of their most promising young talents while the wider squad steps up.
For now, PSG must adapt without him. The squad’s depth will be tested, and alternatives will need to step up. Doué, meanwhile, remains in rehab and is expected to work closely with the medical staff in order to return fully fit and ready.
