Bayern Munich posted a birthday wish for the wingback via their official X handle.

The 25-year-old born on November 2, 2000 has been sidelined for many months after an ACL tear last season. But after intensive rehabilitation, he has finally resumed training with the ball and nearing a comeback to team training at Bayern Munich.

Davis was one of the most sought after left wing-back in the world in January as his contract was due to expire in the summer. Real Madrid were reportedly keen on signing him on a free but Bayern stepped in and in February both parties agreed to continue their partnership for the next five years, that’s until 2030.

Alphonso Davies’ return will be massive for Vincent Kompany’s Bayer Munich as they look to return the Bundesliga title and win the UEFA Champions League this season.
