Softfootball confirmed a dominant 4–0 victory for the Ghana national under-17 football team over Côte d’Ivoire national under-17 team in Abidjan. As revealed by the Ghana Football Association via their official X handle, the result marked the second of two pre-tournament friendlies and provides a major confidence boost ahead of continental competition.

The emphatic win serves as final preparation for the TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations 2026, set to take place in Morocco from May 13 to June 2. Ghana have been drawn into a challenging Group D, where they will face Algeria on May 14, Senegal on May 17, and South Africa on May 20.

The tournament also doubles as a qualification pathway for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, raising the stakes for participating teams.
