Softfootball understands that Gabriel Jesus returned to the Arsenal team after being sidelined for a long time. Gabriel looks like he’s not going anywhere anytime soon. After being out for 11 months with that ACL injury in January 2025, he finally stepped onto the pitch in Arsenal’s 3-0 victory against Club Brugge.

According to sport expert Fabrizio Romano, via his official X account, Jesus has made sure everyone knows he’s focused on the club. He believes he still has a lot to achieve at the club.

He said:

Gabriel Jesus: I feel that I have unfinished business at Arsenal. I don’t want to leave. We can wake up the sleeping giant. With this manager and this squad, we can do it. I trust my football. I trust God’s plan.

There were loads of rumors that Gabriel could move to Saudi Arabia or Brazil in the summer. Even after reports in November 2025 hinted at offers, nothing really came through.

Gabriel admits that his story at Arsenal isn’t finished yet. And with guys like Viktor Gyökeres and Kai Havertz around, he’s got more freedom to do his thing and more options to make a difference.

The comeback wasn’t just about his body. It was tough. Months of doubt and frustration, sometimes thinking he might never reach his old form again. He leaned on faith, family, and the medical staff at Arsenal to slowly rebuild confidence.

It took time, patience, and maybe even more resilience than most people see. When he finally ran out against Club Brugge, it was a special moment for him, as he stated that he is more than ready to make a difference in the team. It felt like a proper return, not just a physical comeback, but a moment of closing one chapter and starting another.

Arteta has made it clear that Gabriel is key to the plans, and with him fit, Arsenal suddenly has depth, flexibility, and a spark in attack. The season ahead feels a lot more exciting, and it seems like his drive could shape both his career and Arsenal’s push for trophies.
