The renewed interest follows the collapse of Pepi’s proposed move in January. At the time, Fulham had agreed a €37 million package deal with PSV over the weekend, but the Dutch club ultimately decided to call off the transfer on deadline day. PSV felt that allowing Pepi to leave without securing a suitable replacement would negatively affect their squad for the remainder of the season.

As a result, the deal was postponed despite being close to completion. Now, Fulham are moving early to avoid a repeat scenario, signalling their intent to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next season. Pepi remains a key target, with the Premier League side hopeful of reaching an agreement well before the summer window opens.
